Documentary films about people, families, stories
In.Versia: instead of a sales landing page, a personal story in ten chapters about why a family needs a film of its own.
Result: Bilingual website
Every family has stories that leave together with its people if nobody asks about them in time. Inna Lesina, a documentary film director from Israel, has been making films about exactly that since 2009 — about people, families and their stories. Her own project is called In.Versia. A product like this cannot be sold with the usual landing page of benefits and an “order now” button: nobody decides on a film about their loved ones in a minute. That is why the In.Versia website reads like a book. Ten numbered chapters in the first person: why you need a film, what it will be about, who makes it and how the work goes. There is no questions-and-answers section, and that is deliberate — in its place is a chapter called “No FAQ” and an invitation to talk in person, because every film has questions of its own. At the same time the site has everything needed to make the decision. Three formats — from a conversation filmed in four hours to a large film about a family — are laid out step by step, with prices in shekels where they can be named in advance. Next to them are the reviews of those who already have their film, and the chronicle of the director's own family. The works can be watched right on the page, and Inna can be messaged on WhatsApp from any chapter where the wish to do so arises. The site is made in two languages, Russian and Hebrew, with proper layout for right-to-left writing.
